Holder for interdental brushes

A simple 3D-printed holder for interdental brushes that creates order, spacing, and quick access in the bathroom cabinet.

Starting point

The idea arose from a simple observation: Interdental brushes often lie loose in the cup, touch each other, dry poorly, or disappear into drawers. This creates disorder in a spot that should really be quick, hygienic, and uncomplicated.

Result

The printed holder blends discreetly into the cabinet and takes on one clear task: to structure, separate, and provide hygienic access.

Each brush gets its own place. It remains visible, stands apart from the other brushes, and is immediately within reach. The pared-back form deliberately forgoes sleeves or covers and instead relies on spacing and 'air'.

Background

The design idea is deliberately simple: a small, functional part that uses little material and can be attached directly to the inside of a cabinet with double-sided tape.

The holder uses the available wall surface without requiring additional footprint. This keeps the sink area clear while the brushes remain quickly accessible.

The open form supports drying and immediately shows which brushes are there.

Specific insights from experience

Especially with very small everyday objects, it quickly becomes clear whether an idea really works. What matters is not complexity, but daily usability.

With this holder, the benefit lies in repetition: open, grab, put back. No searching, no stacking, no additional packaging.

It doesn’t solve a big problem—it improves a small habit.
